About Us
Originally formed in 2004, we played extensively in Brighton and recorded our first album 'Kisses to the Moon' in 2006, and the ' Bowerbird' in 2014. Recently reformed (2019) in order to record a new album 'Dear Father' - a selection of all new songs from some of Rue's extensive portfolio of original material.
RUE HORNE (Guitar & Vocals) - Rue writes beautiful melodic songs that ebb and flow, painting beautiful pictures of both sad and happy times. Having a very English quality to his singing, his voice has been likened to the soft understated tones of Nick Drake
MIKE COMBER (Double Bassist & Vocalist) - Mike has spent 20+ years gigging around the South of England playing various styles from Rock, to Funk, to Blues, to Jazz.
CHRIS EVANS (Drums & Vocals) - Chris started off in Big Band and then spent a number of years gigging with a jazz quartet in Oxford. Since moving to Brighton he's branched out into some rockier sounds, and more recently into folk.
MARK TREFFEL ( Piano, keys )- Mark is a highly accomplished pianist and keyboard player, He plays music from many different genres. From funk to folk. He's gigging musician, a sound engineer, composer, writer and producer.
